Corrosion-resistant, capable of reliable measurement in strong electromagnetic fields, fiber optic pressure sensor.
This is a unique design optical fiber sensor that measures the deflection of a stainless steel diaphragm non-contactly, significantly different from conventional methods. It is compact, robust, resistant to corrosion, and capable of reliable measurements in strong electromagnetic fields (EMI/RFI).
Based on Fabry-Pérot interference technology, pressure is measured from the change in the length of the Fabry-Pérot cavity formed by the inner surface of the stainless steel diaphragm and the optical fiber.
- Reliable measurements can be made even under harsh conditions such as EMI, vibration, high temperatures, and high humidity.
- Mechanical robustness is guaranteed by stainless steel welding, and no epoxy, sealing rubber, or other polymer materials are used.
- The optical fiber cable has a proven track record of extending up to several kilometers using extension cables, depending on the measurement environment.
